Hossein Papi Hossein Papi earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Islamic Azad University in Iran, where he ranked second in his graduating class. He subsequently moved to Italy to pursue a Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering at Politecnico di Torino (Polito), developing a multidisciplinary foundation in autonomous systems. Currently, he is a Master’s student in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Florida, conducting research in the Systems, Cognition, and Control (SCC) Laboratory under the supervision of Dr. Rushikesh Kamalapurkar. His work focuses on developing multi-agent simulation testbeds for autonomous navigation and sensing tasks, utilizing sheaf-theoretic frameworks and nonlinear control algorithms to model distributed robotic networks. Beyond theoretical control, Hossein brings practical engineering experience as a DOE Energy Systems Analyst and expertise in computational modeling for thermal-fluid performance.
